For people who knows me Fruits are my favourite food in the
world, yet not all. There are certain foods that really makes me wanna eat it
all day and some makes me wish I shouldn’t have tried it and I would say Durian
is one of those fruit that I couldn’t really fall in love with.
Last month I felt like craving for a certain food that I couldn’t know what
kind, and feels like I’m looking for a smell that would gave me some comfort, I
been going in and out of supermarket, fruit stands and still unable to find
what I’m looking for, well not until last
night….
I was about to buy some diaper when I suddenly something
caught my other senses that made me say “Wow” (hehe though it wasn’t really that “wow” for others)
I found my comfort food, I knew It came
from the fruit station so I went there to trace the smell and voila! I was
surprise that the once “foul odor” for me now became the “wow” that I would
love to have my tummy. Before I put it in my basket I really did assured myself
that I’m going to eat it alone for I know people in our house don’t like fruit
as much as I do, and Yes I promised myself that I’m going to eat it and I’m
loving the scent more than others could.
On my way home people inside the FX are trying to cover their
noses hehe but I don’t care as long as I’m loving it and it wasn’t that bad because
I tried to cover it with 2 paper bags.
I was just wondering Durian is also a fruit but why does it
smell so bad that most people doesn’t want to try it at all, and since Durian
is also a fruit this probably has a lot of benefits that’s good for us.
So in this blog I’m going to make it more appealing than
just smelling…
I browse the net and here’s what I found…
1.) Preventing and treating constipation (Fiber 37%)
2.) Helps prevent anemia (Folate 22%)
3.) Improve skin health (Vitamin C 80%)
4.) Helps maintain healthy bones (Potassium 30%)
5.) Regulate blood sugar levels (Mangan 39%)
6.) Encourage appetite (Thiamin 61%)
7.) Helps prevent depression (Vitamin B6 38%)
All food benefits are only effective once eaten moderately,
so wag lang po hada ng hada sa pag kain kasi baka iba mangyari :-)
I hope all the information given would give a different
perception towards Durian.
:-)
